GIS Data for the University of Idaho

The University of Idaho Library collaborates with UI Facilities Services to make available GIS data pertaining to the University of Idaho Moscow Campus. These data are current only to 2005. No responsibility is assumed by the University of Idaho in the use of these data.

Licensed imagery and elevation data are available only to those affiliated with the University of Idaho. Interested users should visit Special Collections at the UI Moscow Library and sign a statement similar to the one here if they would like physical copies of these data. These data are to be used in accordance with their respective license agreements.

This data series contains 22 map layers for the University of Idaho Main Campus Moscow, Idaho. Map layers include building footprints, automobile, motorcycle and bike parking, curbs, land use, pedestrian lights, tree health, walkways, and sidewalk as well as others. Most data are not being updated on a regular basis and are current only to 2005.

Elevation Contours of Moscow, Idaho

2-foot elevation contours of the City of Moscow, Idaho.The data was collected using a metric digital black and white camera, 4096 x 4096 pixel array. The data was collected concurrently with high resolution LIDAR data for use as a surface for ortho-rectification. Access is restricted to those affiliated with the University of Idaho. This data series contains 24 2001 6-inch pachromatic digital orthoimage tiles. The data cover the City of Moscow, Idaho. The image data was collected using a metric digital black and white camera, 4096 x 4096 pixel array. The data was collected concurrently with high resolution LIDAR data for use as a surface for ortho-rectification. The positional information was derived from post processed Airborne GPS, IMU and ground control to determine the Exterior Orientation parameters for each frame. This data series contains 137 1998-2001 10-meter pachromatic digital orthoimage tiles. The data cover the State of Idaho. The SPOT USA Select product is a statewide panchromatic tonal balanced, 30-minute x 30-minute SPOTView product designed to be load-n-go into GIS and image processing systems. The source imagery is SPOT PAN 10-meter data. The most current imagery was preferred. Fall/Winter/Spring (leaf-off) scenes were preferred, but summer (leaf-on) imagery was used if scene gaps were present. Access is restricted to Idaho State Government; Idaho Regional, County and Local Governments; Idaho K-12 public schools, State Colleges and State Universities.
